Spicy Barbeque Sauce Recipe
Whenever you have a barbeque, the barbeque sauce recipe below is going to come in handy and you’re guaranteed to impress your guests.
Barbeque sauce recipe ingredients for 4 persons:
- 1 small, red chili
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoon of thyme leaves (fresh one would be best, but dried is good as well)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of cumin
- salt
- pepper
- 1 1/2 cup of ketchup
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
Barbeque sauce recipe preparation:
Half the chili, take out the seeds and wash it. (Be careful to wash your hands and not to touch your eyes afterward, it really burns.)
Peel the garlic, wash the thyme leaves (if fresh) and then chop them all together with the chili into small pieces.
Put the olive oil in a pan and heat it up, then adding the cut pieces of garlic and chili.
As soon as the garlic gets a little bit of color (a slight brown), add the thyme and cumin and fry everything for about 30 seconds.
You then add the ketchup, water, some salt and pepper (depending on your taste) and the sugar, mix it and let it boil at high temperature for 5 minutes.
Turn down the heat and let it stir for about 20 minutes until the sauce is thick and creamy.
Turn off the oven and let it cool down.
